With the fight against corona, a new stress factor on materials was introduced: short wavelength UVC radiation.

UVC light has been used for decades to disinfect water, air, pharma products, and surfaces against pathogens. Now, this technology is used to sterilize surfaces in buses, hotels, or schools. The Atlas UVCTest instrument simulates UVC at 254 nm to research material degradation.

The Atlas UVCTest Exposure Duration Calculator is an easy-to-use tool to calculate test durations. Input values are:

• Radiant exposure per application event
• Applications per week
• Expected years of material use
• UVCTest Irradiance setpoint
• Light/dark cycles

Output values are:
